1. Before First Use
• Sterilization: Boil all bottle components in water for 5 minutes or use an electric sterilizer. Allow them to cool completely and dry thoroughly before use.
2. Cleaning After Each Use
• Disassemble Components: Separate all parts of the bottle, including the nipple and screw cap.
• Wash Thoroughly: Use mild soap and warm water to clean all parts. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals.
• Use Appropriate Brushes: Employ a bottle brush for the bottle and a smaller brush for the nipple to ensure all residues are removed.
• Dishwasher Use: Most bottle parts are top-rack dishwasher safe. However, always check the manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Sterilization Methods
• Hot Sterilization: Utilize boiling water, electric, or microwave sterilizers. Sterilization times vary: electric models take about 5–15 minutes, while microwave models are quicker.
• Cold Sterilization: Use liquid or tablet disinfectants designed for baby products. This method requires more time but is effective.
4. Handling and Storage
• Avoid Contamination: After sterilization, wash your hands thoroughly before handling sterilized parts. Avoid touching the inside of bottles and the nipple tips.
• Proper Storage: Store bottles in a clean, dry place. Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembling or storing to prevent mold growth.
5. Nipple Inspection and Replacement
• Regular Checks: Inspect nipples before each use for signs of wear or damage. Gently pull the nipple in all directions to check for any tears or weaknesses.
• Replacement Schedule: For hygiene reasons, replace nipples every two months or sooner if any damage is detected.
6. Heating Guidelines
• Safe Heating: Warm bottles using a bottle warmer, under warm-to-hot running water, or in a container of heated water. Always follow the bottle warmer’s instructions.
• Avoid Microwave Heating: Microwave heating can cause uneven heating and is not recommended.
• Temperature Check: After heating, gently swirl the contents to mix and test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before feeding.
7. General Safety Warnings
• Supervision: Always supervise your baby during feeding.
• Avoid Using Nipples as Pacifiers: Never use a feeding nipple as a soother or pacifier.
• Prevent Tooth Decay: Continuous and prolonged sucking of milk, formula, or other fluids can cause tooth decay.
• Safe Handling: Do not allow the child to walk or run while holding the feeding bottle.
